This celebrated country designer and artist has come a long way since the
days of drawing designs on her dining room table. Debbie has found success at
every turn, starting with her first trip to the International Quilt Market in
1986, where she discovered that hundreds of retailers loved her quilt patterns
and wanted to order them. What began in 1986 with seven quilt patterns has
quickly become a dynamic and growing design and publishing company.
Today Debbie Mumm's artwork can be seen not
just on beautiful quilts, but on hundreds of products from cookie jars to
calendars. Mumm's The Word® has grown from a tiny mail-order operation in
Debbie's basement to a 17,5000-square foot custom-built world headquarters in
