Interactive books and activities that develop reading,
vocabulary, and thinking skills.
Reader Rabbit presents Reading Development Library, the only
multilevel series of interactive books designed to develop a child's reading
skills and confidence. Interactive books and activities develop comprehension,
vocabulary, and word recognition at each stage of a child's reading
development. At the same time, the stories delight with animated illustrations,
lifelike speech, and clickable surprises. No other interactive books do more to
prepare your child for a lifelong love of reading!
Match your child's reading level. Vocabulary. Type
size. Line spacing. Reading speed. Every detail is carefully designed to match
your child's reading level.
Read three perspectives. As three characters from
each story share their perspectives, children develop reading and thinking
skills.
Enjoy clickable surprises. We didn't skimp on fun.
Every page is bursting with hidden surprises that build comprehension as they
delight.
Focus on reading. The words are as important as the
pictures. Your child may read independently or with the guidance of highlighted
text.
Plus, Play 3 Activities.
By matching pictures to words, children build word
recognition skills as they expand their vocabulary.
Children put events from each story into the right order as
they build sequencing, reading comprehension, and thinking skills.
Children develop early writing and vocabulary skills by
completing phrases and sentences. Best of all, they exchange letters with
actual story characters.

Reviews:
Family PC, October 1996
"After selecting a story, your child can choose to hear or
read it from one of three points of view. In the Goose That Laid the Golden
Egg, Sam the Lion, the goose, and the farmer each tell their side of the tale.
In Sam's traditional telling of the tale, the goose willingly goes along with
the production of golden eggs. When the bird herself relates the story, she
isn't happy about events at all. For her, the eggs produce a stomachache. Plus,
she doen't even know what gold is."
