Explore the Waters of the Eastern Pacific
The sixth volume in the Ocean Life series explores the underwater world of the Eastern Pacific, from the Gulf of California in Mexico to the Galapagos Islands. A unique and fragile realm revealed with over one hour of underwater video. In addition to extensive coverage of the fish, invertebrates, rays, sharks, and ocean environments of the region, this volume covers the animal life and nature preserves established in the Cocos Islands of Costa Rica, the Revillagigedos Islands of Mexico, and the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador. The most comprehensive treatment of this region of the world on CD-ROM. Information on scuba diving in the region has been added to this edition.
Ocean Life 6 included full-color video, photographs, comprehensive text, and coverage of the marine mammals and reptiles of the region.
Sections on marine biology explain taxonomy, anatomy, and reef habitats.
Explore more than thirty families of fish from exotic angelfishes to wrasses. The most complete coverage of this region on any CD-ROM.

Other features include text search and movie export. As with all Sumeria products, the movies, photographs, maps, and text on this CD may be reused royalty-free for any educational or non-commercial purpose. The movies are produced using QuickTime for Windows and Macintosh in a 320 by 240 pixel size format.
Based on over two years of filming in the Eastern Pacific region by Sumeria staff, the CD was produced in collaboration with Gerald Allen, Ph.D., author of: Fishes of the Tropical Eastern Pacific, the most complete printed guide to the marine life of the region.
Combined with the first five volumes of OceanLife - Western Pacific, Micronesia, Hawaiian Islands, Great Barrier Reef, and the Caribbean - publication of this volume of OceanLife extends the scope of the series, already the most comprehensive reference and education product on the subject of marine life available on CD-ROM. The series now provides readers with access to video of more than 850 species of the world's fishes.
