Reviews:CD-ROM World, January 1994 "This title is more than a CD-ROM based book on marine life, as the packaging blurb states. It is a completely interactive documentary on the more than 150 fish species to be found in the waters of Micronesia. Each species is high-lighted with a colorful, narrated video and accompanying text as well as a map showing where the species can be found. Micronesia is the area of the Pacific north and east of Indonesia and Australia. It includes the area surrounding the Marianis Trench. The underwater videos by Jerry Borrell and photography of Robert F. Myers feature previously undocumented fish behavior and cover territories ranging from Pohnpei to Belau. Besides its educational content, which is of a high calibre, the disc is notable for its ease of use, clean graphics, and beautiful colorful videos and stills. "Upon starting the program, a continuous video starts playing in the lower right corner of your screen. This video, with an eerie accompanying music score gives you a summary of what you will see in the program, cleverly cutting between videos for some truly fascinating imagery... "This CD should be in the library of every marine institute and university. It will also bring hours of educational enjoyment to anyone with an interest in marine life or the biological sciences."
