Reviews:Computer Shopper, February 1998 "Although Princeton Review's Inside the SAT & ACT, Deluxe '98 Edition makes similar use of video guides, cartoons and humor to communicate its ideas, it gets down to business more quickly. The strategy explanations also make denser use of text and summarize and repeat the main points more often. "Like the Kaplan program, Inside the SAT includes lessons on general strategies and separate tutorials for the math and verbal sections (which offer both strategy tips and review material). When it comes to drilling the vocabulary used on the verbal sections, we preferred the Princeton Review's Hit Parade, with its illustrative sentences and examples, to Kaplan's flash-card approach. "Inside the SAT includes four full-length practice tests, but here again, the approach is more streamlined. Rather than providing a full-fledged analysis of the results, the the program summarizes correct and incorrect answers and offers some condensed advice based on the type of questions you missed. It shows you which questions you answered wrong, but unlike the Kaplan program, it doesn't offer a detailed explanation of each question. "The Deluxe version of Inside the SAT & ACT integrates the College Counselor, which helps you select a college from 1,400 profiles and guides you through the admission process; a paper-back manual titled "Guide to Paying for College" is included as well."
