Stale Cake Crumbs Changed the Rhinoceros Forever!

This story about a gluttonous Rhinoceros who got his comeuppance is narrated in English by Jack Nicholson and in Spanish by Raul Julia. Bobby McFerrin supplies the music. In addition to endearing storytelling, this interactive experience offers a detailed parents' guide. You can choose an age level for games, display the story text on-screen so kids see the words as they hear them, and select activities related to the story. Children can practice such important skills as recall, visual discrimination, classification, positional concepts and more. How the Rhinoceros Got His Skin is one in a series of interactive storytelling adventures for children.

Reviews:

PC Entertainment, February 1996

"Philips takes a shot at it with Storybook Adventures, originally created for CD-I, and now available for the PC. This computer version features the same excellent celebrity narration and musical performance by Bobbie McFerrin, Jack Nicholson, and Raul Julia. You'll also find the same rich illustrations."
