Play One of Four CharactersMiriam Welldrake left England with her husband and three children to escape religious persecution. On the voyage over, her husband and one child died from disease. Penniless, she arrives in Boston in the year 1630. Now, her desire is to build a house and farm. Gabriella and Andrew Welldrake arrive in the settlement of Middle Plantation on October 4, 1676. They have come to the Virginia Colony from England to establish a tobacco plantation. Michael Welldrake is a farrier and craftsman in Boston around the time of the Revolutionary War. He is a leading patriot and has connections with political leaders of the movement for independence (eg: Samuel Adams and John Hancock, etc.). Michael must decide whether or not to take part in major historical events of this era. Robert Welldrake grew up a part of the Eppringham empire, a wealthy family with trading roots going back generations. He works for the empire as captain of one the trade ships. His knowledge of ships earns him an invitation to serve in Oliver hazard Perry's fleet during the War of 1812. Program Features:
