Voyage Through the Universe
From the first speculations of the Ancients to the latest discoveries of astrophysicists, choose one of four avenues of discovery to learn all about the stars: the Planetarium, the Laboratory, the Sphere of Knowledge, and the Heavens.
In the Planetarium, you can contemplate the whirling heavens, and discover over 50,000 celestial objects from the familiar solar system to the mysteries of far sky. Select your place and date of observation: the program calculates the position of the planets, stars, etc. With your mouse, display constellations, reference points and astrophysical data.
In the Laboratory you become an astronomer's apprentice. A virtual lab for experiments, where you can analyze, measure and compare the different members of the Solar System, the stars, and objects from neighboring galaxies and beyond. Travel between the planets, visit their satellites, and skim the surfaces of Jupiter, Mars and Venus. Conduct your own experiments on the laws of gravitation and atmospheric pressure.
In the Sphere of Knowledge, retrace the history of astronomy and astrophysics over the last twenty centuries. Learn about the Big Bang, the birth of the Solar System, the laws governing the Universe, and much more. Thanks to the interactive animated sequences, recalculate the earth's circumference with Eratosthenes or study the mechanism of the seasons.
The night sky is an eternal source of wonder. In the Heavens discover mythical accounts: the twelve zodiacs, Hercules, the creation of the world, comets, etc.
