Backyard Soccer MLS Edition™ features the familiar cast of 30 neighborhood kids as well as 15 pint-sized versions of Major League Soccer (MLS) and US Women's National Team players such as Cobi Jones, Carlos Valderrama and Brandi Chastain. The release of Backyard Soccer MLS Edition marks the first time ever that children can interact and play alongside junior versions of their favorite professional soccer heroes as kids! Backyard Soccer MLS Edition features the fast-paced action of adult soccer simulations with easy-to-use, mouse-driven controls that even the littlest soccer star can master. Designed for children ages 5 to 10.

Game Features:

MLS Teams: Players can choose from all 12 MLS team names and logos including the Chicago Fire, Tampa Bay Mutiny, LA Galaxy, Kansas City Wizards, San Jose Earthquakes and more.

MLS and US National Team Players: Kid versions of MLS and the US Women's National Team top players join the Backyard Bunch for the first time. Cobi Jones, Tiffeny Milbrett, John Harkes and Brian McBride can now play with well-known Backyard Bunch players Pablo Sanchez, Kenny Kawaguchi, Kiesha Phillips and Dmitri Petrovich.

Season Play: Coaches start off in B division, work up to A division and then Premier through a 14-game season which culminates at an international round-robin tournament to win the Astonishingly Shiny Cup of All Cups Cup. Coaches who qualify can play in the Off-the-Wall Indoor Tournament halfway through the season. Players also choose from eight regular season fields each with its own quirky characteristics and surface-specific physics.

Practice Mode: Pre-game training helps to perfect penalty kicks and goalkeeping skills or kids can watch a game in progress with Spectator Mode to learn valuable skills. Power Ups: Backyard Soccer MLS Edition combines all the action and excitement of real league games with outrageous "Power Ups" that enable players to execute unbelievable plays.

Each of the players on the field is guided by his or her own Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is mostly based on that player's unique characteristics. Twenty different personalized attributes were created for each character. This helps keep the game going by directing the players to tend the goals, set up for defense, pass the ball, etc. The only player not run entirely by his/her own AI is the player you currently control.
