Astro Algebra Provides a Strong Foundation for
Astro Algebra teaches you the concepts and problem-solving skills you need
to master algebra basics and build math confidence! Four expert crew members
help you rocket through each stage in the problem-solving process:
understanding, strategizing, calculating and checking your work. You'll learn
how to graph functions, translate word problems into mathematical expressions
and represent algebraic equations using the program's Virtual Manipulatives.
Hundreds of problems and dozens of intergalactic missions provide you with a
solid foundation for success in algebra and beyond. We're so sure of this, we
fully guarantee your satisfaction!
In Astro Algebra, your child will master these important 7th, 8th & 9th
grade math topics:
- Graph points, functions, equations and inequalities on a number line or
- Use ratios, proportions and percents to solve problems. Plus, whole
numbers, decimals, fractions, integers and rational numbers.
- Evaluate expressions using order of operations
- Define mathematical relationships using expressions, equations,
inequalities, functions and graphs
- Understand word problems and how to use variables and graphs
- Discover and explore the language of algebra
FREE video for parents included on CD-ROM! In Dear Parents, Edmark's
Donna Stanger, a teacher for 20 years, shares thoughts about the role you can
play in helping your child successfully learn math.

decimals and percents and identifying equivalent rational numbers or
exponential expressions. The Proportion Tool can help you solve scale factor,

Use the Grapher Station to solve problems and complete
missions by identifying slopes and intercepts and solving systems of equations
and inequalities. In some missions, a Number Line replaces the coordinate grid
and you can graph fractions, decimals, expressions and inequalities.
The math fun in Astro Algebra takes place in two
modes, On-Duty Mode and Off-Duty Mode. You begin the program in On-Duty Mode,
where you are directed through missions. You can also go into Off-Duty Mode at
any time in order to freely explore the tools and stations at your own pace,
view trophies or play Equation of Mystery in the Cargo Bay. Surf the AstroNet,
a simulated universe-wide Internet* that contains data on math topics and
terms. Learn about important algebra concepts before or during a mission. Use

math topics and hundreds of problems in 7th, 8th and 9th grade algebra. As you
learn and progress, the Grow Slide advances, offering more challenging
problems. Students. parents or teachers can also set the difficulty of each
activity or choose a specific topic related to schoolwork.
