Reviews:
CD-ROM Today, November 1995
"Each field trip presents dozens of scenes for investigation
(the farm has 30; the airport, 40). At the
airport, you can climb aboard a single-engine plane to play with objects in the
cockpit. Go into the terminal and you can interact with the people standing in
line at the ticket counter and follow baggage down a conveyor belt. Proceed
through airport security and you can examine an animated helicopter. Visit the
farm and you can roam around the farmhouse and barn where you'll meet horses in
the pasture, feed the pigs, and harvest corn from the field. You can also
interact with the chickens in the chicken coop."
"Frisky animations, sounds, and read-aloud information pages
are not enough to guarantee that kids will enjoy a CD-ROM. That's why each
Let's Explore disc also offers five entertaining activities. Both
Airport and Farm have an online coloring book with scenes you can
color using electronic paints. A trivia game asks multiple-choice questions
about the spots visited on tour. Find It challenges players to locate field
trip items for a treasure hunt. Other activities build spelling and matching
skills or strengthen hand-eye coordination through fast-paced, arcade-like
action."
