Norman Rockwell (1894-1978) came into his own just as mass-circulation national magazines were creating a huge new market for artists. His work grew in breadth and character as he refined his storytelling art, enticing tens of thousands of readers into his wry, quaint, or hilarious compositions. By mid-century, Rockwell had attained the stature of an American institution, thanks to his inimitable Saturday Evening Post covers. Today his illustrations are recognized around the world as an abiding record of a vanished time, place, and state of mind. This mousepad measures 7 3/4 x 9 1/4 inches and is manufactured with a washable finish. Its texture is mouse-friendly but also allows for high-quality image reproduction.
