Background

World War II rages and nations fall. SS head Himmler has Hitler's full backing to twist science and the occult into an army capable of annihilating the Allies once and for all. Fighting in advanced team-based multiplayer mode, you'll wage your own WWII in an all-out Axis vs Allies contest for frontline domination.

Mission

You're BJ Blazkowicz, a highly decorated Army Ranger recruited into the Office of Secret Actions (OSA) tasked with escaping and then returning to Castle Wolfenstein in an attempt to thwart Heinrich Himmler's occult and genetic experiments. Himmler believes himself to be a reincarnation of a 10th century dark prince, Henry the Fowler, also known as Heinrich. Through genetic engineering and the harnessing of occult powers, Himmler hopes to raise an unstoppable army to level the Allies once and for all.

You need to penetrate the underbelly of Hitler's empire. You'll airdrop into a frozen German forest. You'll charge the war-torn countrysides of Europe to unearth secret bases and airstrips. Ultimately, you must infiltrate Castle Wolfenstein to uncover the depth of Himmler's plans and defeat the evil he's unleashed. The future of the world is in your hands. Failure is not an option.

Windows 95OSR2/98/Me/NT 4 (SP6)/2000/XP: Pentium II 400 MHz processor, 3D Hardware Accelerator with 16 MB VRAM and full OpenGL support, 128 MB RAM, 16 bit high color video, 800 MB uncompressed hard disk space (an additional 300 MB for the swap file), DirectX8.0a (included), 100% DirectX 3.0 or higher compatible sound card and drivers. 4x CD-ROM drive.

Multiplayer: Internet and LAN play supported, 56 Kbps or faster connection.

A 100% full OpenGL compliant 3D video card is required. Return to Castle Wolfenstein uses OpenGL to support 3D hardware accelerator. Return to Castle Wolfenstein has been tested on many but not all of the major cards incorporating the chipsets below:
