The Man, His Life, His Works

Experience the world of Van Gogh: His art, his words and the music of his time.

Follow this brilliant painter's dramatic life through Holland, Paris and especially the Provence where he created many of his most celebrated works. Tour the actual sites where Van Gogh lived and worked. Discover the specific spots where he set up his easel and witness how his eyes and brush captured a scene.

At your own pace, revisit six critical periods in the artist's life. Explore the hypertext Chronology, browse through the Index of 200 paintings, consult the Dictionary of Impressionism, hear selections from Van Gogh's letters in their original language or visit the Music Gallery featuring the music and biographies of period composers.

Vincent van Gogh Revisited is an adventure, a musical experience, a voyage through the Provence and an in-depth portrait of one of the world's greatest painters.

Features:

Select original recordings of Debussy, Franck, Satie, Fauré, Chabrier and Bizet.

Travel through the Provence and compare present-day sites to the paintings.

Browse through the Art Index containing 200 paintings.

Listen to Van Gogh's letters to his brother Theo in the original Dutch or French with English text.
