About the Publisher:
TFPL Multimedia is a new publishing imprint which combines
the authoritative market experience of the leading CD-ROM and multimedia
information provider TFPL, with the international marketing and distribution
resource of Macmillan Press.
TFPL Multimedia tracks the rapidly expanding and ever
changing world of multimedia, publishing reference works, market information
and statistics for and about the multimedia and CD-ROM industry. The premier
title, The Multimedia and CD-ROM Directory, is released on CD-ROM and in two
print volumes each year at the MILIA show in February, with an update CD-ROM in
August.
At the time of writing there are copies still available of
both The Multimedia Yearbook 1996 and The CD-ROM Directory 1996;
these companion print volumes provide a complete annual guide to the world of
CD-ROM and multimedia. The titles volume, The CD-ROM Directory, focuses
on providing comprehensive details of commercial titles currently available
worldwide, and gives full descriptions and technical information on titles,
plus their publishers' contact details. The marketplace volume, The
Multimedia Yearbook, provides a complete international guide to the
companies involved in the multimedia and CD-ROM business. The directory
listings are complemented by extensive editorial articles about trends and
developments in the industry.
The Multimedia and CD-ROM Directory 1996 on CD-ROM contains
all the data in both books' directory listings, and provides the additional
functionality of sophisticated software which allows in-depth analysis. The
next update will be the February 1997 issue.
