The Code of Silence Has Been
Broken
For years, the intergalactic crime cartel known as the Orion
Pirates has managed its vast empire from the shadows. The group's uncanny
talents for concealment and anonymity have allowed them to smuggle and plunder
with impunity in full view of the law. Now greed had become the pirates' worst
enemy. Having grown bolder, their powerful fleet has exposed itself to embark
on missions of universal conquest!
Starfleet knows that the time has come to strike. As a proud
starship captain, it's your sworn duty to teach these pirates the true meaning
of justice. That is, if you don't elect to join their ranks for ... a piece of
the action.

Storyline
The Orion Pirates are equivalent to the modern day organized
crime family. They operate within every territory and empire within the Star
Trek Universe. The Pirates are a group of large crime families who control
various sectors of space. Their main territory falls within the Federation
because their home world Orion is a member of the Federation. The pirates tend
to blend in with the territory they operate out of because most of their
membership is made up of races native to that empire (i.e. Humans in the
Federation, Klingons in the Klingon empire). Citizens with in each territory
are aware that these pirates exist but are not aware of who they actually are.
The pirates are in constant battle for economic power over the empire, like the
organized crime families they want to have control with out being in public
positions of power.
You can choose to play as one of the members of the cartels
and follow the Pirate campaign as the various houses fight amongst themselves,
and with the empires they are part of. Gamers can also take on the role of one
of the star empires in a new campaign fighting against the pirates.
