Just because of that little uprising, Morbus has been banished to earth by HIM, the highest god of all. It really could not have been worse for this particular villain, as Morbus cannot bear the sight of anything green. He definitely doesn't plan on letting it stay that way - his Dark Tribe will soon be waging war on the earth's flora and fauna.

The Romans, Mayans and Vikings are the three industrious little races you'll be settling with. The seamless zoom function allows you to take a close-up peek as your settlers go about their daily business, or to zoom out for a bird's eye view of how your very own empire is coming along.

Put your settling skills to the test in single-player missions, with friends and colleagues in a local area network (LAN) and with gamer from all over the world via BLUE BYTE GAME CHANNEL! For beginners, getting started is a piece of cake, thanks to the extensive tutorial missions.

Single Player Mode Features:

Three races with their own campaigns: The Romans, Mayans and Vikings have their own individual style in dress, weapons, alcohol and magic

The Dark Tribe: Stop Morbus and his creepy crew in their tracks in a special new campaign.

New graphics: Characters, buildings, animals and landscapes have been completely revamped and are meticulously detailed.

Improved transport: Load up your donkey carts and the whole of the settlers' world is your oyster.

Paths and roads: Well traveled routes are transformed into paths and paved roads, helping your settlers to get there faster.

Hunters and wild animals: The woods are now teeming with hares, deer and other wildlife - a veritable hunter's paradise.

New strategy options: Show off your tactical genius and steel your defenses by appointing Squad Leaders and deploying your soldiers with more precision than ever before.

Multi Player Mode Features:

Internet and LAN: Up to eight players can battle it out on one map on a local area network or Free online gaming via the Blue Byte Game Channel.

Clans: Establish a clan and team up with friends to take on the world.

Settlefest and Cooperation modes: Compete against your opponents in a head-to-head settling battle on identical maps or put your heads together and cooperate.

World ranking lists: Ranking list points are up for grabs for single players and clans - there is no greater honor than topping the charts in The Settlers IV.

Trade: Iron supplies at an end? Maybe you can get your hands on your neighbor's surplus metal by trading in some of those coal reserves.

Coats of Arms: Spruce up your castles with one of a range of emblems available.

Chat and Voice Chat: Keep in touch with your fellow players during the game with both written and spoken messages.
