"Want to add a little extra something to spice up your roller-coaster designs? Here are a few suggestions, courtesy of designer Chris Sawyer.

"How about positioning a corkscrew so that it twists over a footpath? Nearby guests will be fascinated by it, and riders will get an extra thrill.

"Building a pair of racing roller coasters is an obvious idea, but there are many ways to make it a bit more interesting. Such as, two tracks twisting over and around each other by using a pair of parallel corkscrews. Perhaps an even better variation of this would be to have the tracks running in opposite directions, and timing the trains so they pass each other on the corkscrews."
