Several Good Reasons to ... FLY!

Fly! is a groundbreaking, general aviation simulation. Global flight area, worldwide digital elevation terrain models and true satellite terrain imagery are sure to command the attention and interest of every flight-sim enthusiast.

Ultra-realistic cockpit and avionics systems, interactive air traffic control including full voice support, GPS navigation and realistic air traffic authenticate the flying experience to a standard higher than any of its kind. The attention paid to technical and graphical details make Fly! the most virtual flying experience ever designed.

Features:

Audible Air Traffic Control (ATC) allows you to interact with the tower for approach and departure and to hear other aircraft operating in your immediate area.

Beginners can get a quick start with the easy Fly! Now feature, where flight scenarios are preconfigured.

Activate the in-game instant replay feature to relive perfect landings and impressive maneuvers or learn from your mistakes on less successful flights.

A complete simulation of the Bendix King KLN-89 Global Positioning Satellite system is offered for true GPS functionality.

The world is yours to fly. Navigate cross-country or cross-continent. Fly by day or night, in real time with accurate transitions of the sun, moon, and stars, or accelerate your flight using distance compression.

Support for USB and Force Feedback input devices.

Native support for the most popular graphics accelerators, including Direct 3D, and 3Dfx Glide.

Continuous Satellite Imagery for Five Cities along with the ability to pilot around the world.

  • San Francisco
  • Dallas
  • New York
  • Los Angeles
  • Chicago

Pilot Five Different Aircraft:

  • Piper Malibu Mirage - Turbocharged single prop
  • Beechcraft King Air B200 - Dual turbo prop
  • Cessna 172R Skyhawk - Single prop
  • Piper Navajo Chieftain - Dual prop
  • Raytheon Hawker 800PX - Business Jet

Even the elements are under your command. Fly! 2K allows you to configure the weather environment many ways. You can summon rain or snow, create multiple cloud layers, and even call on variable winds by defining the weather yourself. You can import recent NOAA METAR weather data, and Fly! 2K will automatically configure the weather to match, or you can choose one of several preconfigured weather scenarios.

Integrated on-line sectional maps for the entire United States and vector charts for the world are available at a single keystroke. Fly! 2K will open the sectional map that corresponds with your flight area, allowing you to see your current position and relative heading.

Expect the environment to be as real as the planes. Fly! 2K is the first general aviation simulator with truly volumetric clouds. Unlike other flight sims, the opacity of cloud cover actually varies, letting you catch glimpses of blue skies, cities down below, and even other cloud layers at lower and higher altitudes.

Not all runways are created equal. Fly! 2K follows the rules of reality by re-creating over 13,500 different runways at 9,500 airports around the world, all with true-to-life lighting, striping, and surfacing.
