The Bureau Needs You to Start a War
After 47 years the war between the two largest corporations on planet AMOK
finally comes to an end. Now the Bureau, a small outfit that profited heavily
from the great war, is desperate to provoke a new one. To do so, they have
hired you to pilot a modified battle walker/sub called the Slambird. Immersed
in a 3-D nightmare you must demolish buildings, blow-up army bases and sink
underwater bunkers...to destroy peace.

Requirements: 486-DX2 (Pentium 100mhz or better processor recommended), MS
DOS 6.0 or Windows 95 required, 2x CD-ROM drive or better, 8MB of RAM (16 MB
recommended for Windows 95), Sound Blaster and 100% compatible sound cards.

Reviews:
boot, January 1997
"The action proceeds at a good clip, and you can turn it up even higher by
switching to fewer colors and lowering the resolution. Forget about running
Amok off your hard drive, because you must play it all off the
disc. Still, with a lower resolution and 256 colors, running from the disc
doesn't hurt the explosions and it really pumps the funky music, which auto
configs and plays through any Sound Blaster compatible card. Plus, the
animations don't jerk or slow down.
"Despite great visuals, such as the awesome underwater scenes, complete with
sunken mountains (an excellent chance to whack any sharks that get in your
way), there's no time for sight-seeing. Mobile Droids and various missile banks
are looking to blast your head off, so blast them first. And remember, speed
kills, so destroy anything that gets in your way."
